I had a job at Holly Heights for an extra help teacher which means I had no idea what I'd be doing. I was given a second grade class for the morning in which I spent most of the time watching the aid go through the routines with the kids and helping out whenever there was something I could actually do like hand out papers.
The afternoon was not so laid back. I had a gym class where the teacher explained her plans to me and gave me a huge packet of papers to describe two games that I could barely understand and then I was supposed to teach the kids how to play while keeping them focused on me in a gym setting. That worked out well. One of the games was fairly easy but not exciting at all for me or the students so I just had them play kickball after that because that's what they wanted anyway.
I took a nap after work and when I got up I went to Parvin's to take some photos. They came out a lot better than I had even hoped. I really like the quality of the long exposure and the reflected light on the water.
I went over to Renea's shortly after where she had a few people over. Josh was making strange silhouette poses for me to photograph while we laughed at them.
We hung out there for a while on the porch because it was beautiful outside. We had a few beers and laughed at porn names like Girth Brooks but people slowly started going home or heading out to bars or other parties so we did the same.
We went to a party that this guy Mike had invited Renea (and whoever she wanted to bring) to. It was basically what we were doing at Renea's except with less good beer. Jimmy joined us at the party and we hung out downstairs talking to people.
After an hour or so of mingling we headed home and I got to sleep so I could get up a few hours later.
