Mar 31, 2008

I spent the beginning of my day in Color & Design working on not working much at all. Then I came home to sleep for an hour or two before going to substitute at Alternative School. It was ridiculously easy. There were 2 kids in most of the classes. Some had 1, one had none. So I read and finished Fear and Loathing. I dropped my car off to Chopper so he could check my alignment issues.

After school-work, I went to Jimmy's to play Ghost Recon and later, Spades, once Jeff got home.

I came home to watch Curb Your Enthusiasm and go to sleep.

Mar 30, 2008

When I got up in the morning, Katie and I met up and went to the Art Museum in Philly.

I took pictures of all the paintings that I'd be using for my field trip projects from both classes.

We went to Venuto's for lunch on South Street.

The pizza was decent, the sayings were cheesy.

On our way back to the car, we were approached by a woman asking us to test screen a trailer for a new movie. Since we had nothing to do, we agreed. There were a lot of questions and I had to watch the trailer a few times to point out what I liked and/or didn't about it.

We came home and watched some things on tv while we worked on a few art projects. Once it got late, I came home to rest before my early class.

Mar 29, 2008

My mom is still recovering from her broken foot, so I went shopping for her this morning. It was pretty painless aside from having to search for a few things.

I decided not to go to the Kris Roe show in Franklinville and, instead, went to Monk's Bar in Philly with Jeff, Sam and Nathan.

I had a beer there, but the prices sent me walking around the corner to a smoky dive bar with cheap Yeungling. I'd like to go back to this bar one day actually.

I went back to meet the rest of them and we got our seat. We ordered the mussels, which were suggested to us by everyone, and weren't disappointed. The fries were great too.

After cleaning our plates and finishing our beers, we headed over to a sport bar down the street with Sam's friends. We sat and talked for a couple of hours there. I agreed to drive home, so I got to watch everyone get drunk. It was a good time though.

Jeff couldn't hold his alcohol after the car ride home.

I came home and wrote some before going to sleep.

Mar 28, 2008

This is my bike riding face. It was gorgeous out today, so I got on my bike and headed out riding. I ended up riding to Parvins Park. It's quite a long way from my house, uphill and into the wind.

I sat on the dock and finished reading Dry. It's a good book. It started getting chillier and seeming like it might rain, so I headed over to the college to possibly meet Ryan for tennis. We decided to postpone the game, so I went home, showered and went to his house for a short time.

Katie and I went to Ocean City for a very short time. A drive there and back basically. Then I went to Jimmy's and played a few games of Spades with him, Jeff and Sam. Then it was time to start reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas that Jackie loaned me.

Mar 27, 2008

After reading most of the early part of the day away, I went over to Katie's for a bit and hung out. My grandmom and I got some Applebee's takeout and ate it at her house.

Jackie and I took a drive to nowhere in particular and I ended up at the Camden waterfront.

We were right under the bridge, so we took it into Philly and got some Lorenzo's pizza for dinner. We walked around South Street for a while and then went over by the art museum. It was pretty nice out, but it started to get chilly so we headed home.

I am tired now. Ready for reading and falling asleep.

Mar 26, 2008

I had to start on my value still life collage in Color & Design this morning. I'm not liking this project too much.

I came home and gathered up all of my change in my giant cup and headed off to the bank.

Penny Arcade counted my coins and I had close to three hundred dollars in that giant Slim Jim cup. Not too bad.

I got my oil changed at BJ's then headed home. Later I went to Jimmy's to play spades with him and Jeff for a while. We played some video games and then I went home.

And there I am.

Mar 25, 2008

This is what we had to draw in Drawing, trying to make it look like a large landscape.. whatever.

After class, I met Tracy and Mike at Landmark for drinks and wings. It was much needed and long overdue. The wings were good and spicy and Blue Moon is a great beverage.

I went over to Katie's later and watched some Curb Your Enthusiasm with her until it was late. Then I came home to sleep for class in the morning.

Mar 24, 2008

I handed in my drawing in Color & Design, then worked on some value scales to kill time.

I slept through a lot of the day, then went to Jimmy's at night to play poker. After poker we played Spades for a while.

I had a few drinks to celebrate.

I came home and read for a while until I fell asleep.

Mar 23, 2008

I actually did quite a bit this day, I just don't have the photographic evidence to back that up. I started out with dinner at my grandmom's house in the afternoon. We had ham, broccoli casserole and sweet potatoes. It was goooood. After that, I went to my dad's for dessert. I only had a slice of banana cream pie and watched some TV with them. After I left, I went to hang out with Jackie for a short time. We didn't do much but talk to her aunt and look at pictures. Then I went over to Jess' aunt's house in Fortescue. We had a few beers and watched some music videos on demand.

After all the Easter fun, I had to get to work on my drawing. I went to Katie's and we made rubbings of everything we could find until we had 48. Then, they could be put together for the final piece. I went home and tried to get a few hours sleep.

Mar 22, 2008

I met Jackie to have lunch at Wild Wings in Vineland today. I had a meatball sandwich, she had a veggie wrap. I wish I got the veggie wrap.

After lunch, we went to Millville and got ice cream at Blinkers. We went down to the waterfront on Buck St. and hung out while I at my cone. It was good to catch up.

Later on, I went to Ryan's and played some NHL '08 and Poker Smash. Katie called me and invited us over to play Guitar Hero where Teresa was house-sitting.

After we played for a while, we left and went for a walk around the neighborhood since we don't go over there too often. We walked and talked for a while, then I came home and passed out.

Mar 21, 2008

We left somewhat early, heading south to Baltimore.

We walked around to the inner harbor. We took plenty of pictures and got food at Phillip's Seafood. I had some good crab cakes.

We went up to the hill overlooking Baltimore and spent some time taking pictures up there.

We got some good night pictures from the hill and on our way back to the car. After a while, we headed back home, watching Curb Your Enthusiasm on the way.

I was pretty tired from the trip, so I came home and got to sleep early.

Mar 20, 2008

I started the day working at Rieck Avenue School. I was floating substitute and ended up only having one class with 5 kids in it and a 2 hour lunch break. They also let me leave an hour or so early. I started reading Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. After work, I called Katie up and we got our free first-day-of-spring water ice then headed to Rowan.

An old building is being torn down because of asbestos, so I figured I should get some unique shots there while I could. I should be able to get inside next week, so hopefully I can put all the pictures up together soon over here.

I went to my grandmom's for dinner and later headed over to Katie's at night for a while. We planned a trip for the next day, so I went home to get some sleep.
