Apr 30, 2008

I had class in the morning, where I spent very little time actually in class. I left during class and read my book on campus, then I came back and left early. I hung around for a while on Kim's request and went with her and Alex to Arby's for lunch. I got a call while I was there to work a half day at Memorial for Mrs. Kalibaba, who I had for Algebra in high school. The class wasn't bad and it was a pretty short day.

My dad took me out to eat at Serafina's for dinner. I got the eggplant parm, which was really good. I recommend this place. After dinner, I ran for a while and went to Ryan's to play some video games.

Later on, I met Shanin at Applebee's for some wings and chips. It was fun to catch up since we haven't seen each other in years before I ran into her at Longhorn the other day.

I wanted to do something else, but there wasn't really anything to do, so I came home and watch Scrubs.

Apr 29, 2008

Another outside work day on our landscape drawings. I pretty much finished mine.

After class, we stayed around and had a Siobhan's-not-invited picnic. Siobhan is our professor. We had Capri Sun, Brownies, popcorn and other assorted snacks. It was a great day out for it too.

Later on I went to the gym and ran for quite a while.

I went over to Katie's after the gym to talk and watch Good Luck Chuck. It was pretty funny in some parts. Then I came home.

Apr 28, 2008

We had a long critique, as usual, in Color & Design, taking up the whole class period.

I got a call to do the second half of a day at Holly Heights as a kindergarten teacher. I wasn't sure about it, but I accepted. It wasn't really bad at all. The kids had a story read to them by the T.A., then they took a nap for over an hour (I used this time to read,) then they had a snack and went to the library where the librarian taught them phonics. I just sat on the computer. Pretty stress-free day for me.

After work, I had dinner at home and then went to the gym.

Then I came home for sleeping.

Apr 27, 2008

For once on a Sunday I was up early enough and in the mood to go to the gym before it closed at the ridiculously early time of 3pm.

After working out, Ryan and I played some Mario Kart Wii. It was interesting, still not used to it yet. But we played a few other Wii games and ended up playing Mario Kart for GameCube before I left.

Later, Katie and I worked on some art projects at my grandmom's house.

After leaving there, I went back to Ryan's for a while and played some more Mario Kart, figuring a few things out about how to play. Then I came home to get some sleep before class.

The gym closes early today and it looked like it might rain, so I went to my grandmom's to run. That's me, I'm a blur when I'm running.

I went to the high school to see Seussical the Musical later on.

It was quite entertaining and there are some really good actors/singers in the production.

The night consisted of playing a short-lived game of Uno, followed by Spades.

James and I watched some Parking Wars and then I decided to call it a night.

Apr 25, 2008

I had a technology class this morning. They all had to go to a presentation in the little theater about careers and such, so I had to sit through it three times.

After my post-work nap, Katie and I went to Mays Landing to get sushi on our way to the shore.

It was pretty good, even with slow service, but I haven't had too much bad sushi.

After eating, we went to Ocean City, where everything was closed except Mack & Manco's and the arcade, where all the kids were hanging out. We didn't spend much time there, just walked the boards once and then went back on the street.

We went to play cards at Jimmy's to celebrate his birthday.

He wanted to live it up for this one.. so he got a rape whistle on plastic beads and we played Spades AND Rummy. Hope it lived up to his expectations.

I was pretty tired after the game and watching Poker After Dark, so I went to sleep after watching The Office.

Apr 24, 2008

I decided to take a job in the morning and go to school late today. I was going to be in the gym, but they put me in a health class, which is really nice. They even let me get out early so I wouldn't be extra late to class.

We continued working on our charcoal drawings of a landscape, but we changed positions.

We didn't feel like working, it was too nice out, so we found ways to avoid it. For these two, it meant making hats out of flowers and running around the woods like sprites.

While hanging around after class, I saw the opening of a gallery in Westby. It's called "Home is Where the Art Is."

It was a whole home theme, where they designed things that would normally be found in homes, like couch covers and shower curtains. It was all pretty sweet.

They had lots of food, including peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!

They even had a garden with beer! I helped myself to a few!

After I spent some time at the gallery, I went over to Maureen's new residence at her grandmother's house to watch Lost. It's on later now, so we watched Scrubs and Grey's Anatomy first. I was pretty much falling asleep on all of them. Once I got home, I passed out.

Apr 23, 2008

I began the day by substituting for a history class at the Senior High. It wasn't too bad.

It was another great day so I went to Parvin's to run.

I hit the gym on the way home.

Then I bought a t-shirt for my iPod at Five Below.

We went to Jimmy's later on to play cards and CatchPhrase. I stayed up much later than I should have with work in the morning.

Apr 22, 2008

It's Earth Day, so we all hugged some trees in class.

I climbed one because that's how much trees mean to my life.

Then we had to get to work doing a landscape drawing.

I got halfway done this when our teacher changed her mind and decided we couldn't choose the size paper we wanted to do it on, we all had to do large full sheets. So I spent the rest of the time messing around because I didn't feel like starting over again.

I met my dad when I got home and took him to Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner for his birthday, which was on Friday. We had some good food and talked, which we rarely get to do. I also saw Shanin, who I haven't seen in probably years, and we got to talk for a while as well.

I went to the gym after I waited to stop feeling really full and worked out for about an hour and a half.

Katie and I went to Jimmy's to play cards with him after work. We almost got through a full game of rummy.

I need to get to sleep because I have to get up for work in a little over three hours, but this picture shows how nicely my black eye from the Starting Line show is turning out!
