May 31, 2009

Not really sure what to do, Katie and I went towards the shore and got Moe's on the way in Mays Landing. Their store is better and the burritos are just as awesome.

We got some bubbles at Five Below and I took some cool shots of them.

I also got this kickass bandana.

I have a seat open here for you..

We watched this giant seagull steal food from the Wawa bag of people that were in the water. It was pretty great to see.

This is a funny picture.. but I took it as the before shot as I was about to get my hair cut.

I got it cut on the front lawn so that was probably funny to passersby.

I like it a little shorter.

May 30, 2009

The plan was to go to the zoo, but since it was Saturday, everyone in the tri-state area was there so after driving around to every possible parking lot, I decided I didn't want to spend my day shuffling through zoo people with strollers and went to get lunch at Reading Terminal instead. I had a pretty good veggie sandwich.

I managed to play a few holes at the course in Philly while I was there as well.

Before leaving Fairmount Park, we went over to the hills and checked out the view from above the river. It was a nice day out for it.

Once I got home I was pretty tired from all the walking around and the sun. It was a fun day despite the change in plans.

May 29, 2009

I worked in a Spanish class in the morning and didn't do too much actual work of course.

We packed up our shit and took the rainy drive to Bridgewater Pub in Bridgeton.

Even with our unrehearsed antics we got a few people into it. They were actually singing along! I'm not going to mention if they were related to anyone in the band..

Despite our early shortcomings, the set picked up in the end and I think we ended well. I handed out a lot of CDs and flyers to people that were saying that they enjoyed us.

Another show on the books and apparently some new fans to speak of! Cool.

May 28, 2009

pI worked as a Math Teacher at Lakeside in the morning. I did a lot of reading while they worked.

I played a game with Ryan after school. It was hot and we weren't doing well.

We all went to Drinker's Tavern in Philly for Nate's birthday at night.

Jeff and Chuck are sharing a moment.

I only started drinking Miller Lite toward the end of the night. I started with the good stuff.

Nate was making his rounds, lots of his friends were there.

The DJ was awesome. He was playing all the songs we would play if we were in control without us even having to ask most of the time.

It kept us dancing.

Brendan and Nate enjoying pizza and beer.

Sam steps out from behind the camera for a moment.

Jimmy was our DD and Jenell kept him company.

Happy birthday gang sign.

Rolling Rock ponies.

I'm not sure what's going on here.

Everyone else has left the bar but us.

The DJ finished the night by playing two songs off our demo: Sleepless in Millville and Joey Russo. It was pretty awesome to hear it played in the bar. He complimented us on the music.

The night ended up being a lot of fun despite the initial change in venue and I hope it was as great for Nathan! Happy birthday!

May 27, 2009

I worked at Lakeside in the morning covering for Child Study Team meetings. They got done early so I got to leave early.

I spent much of the rest of the day at home as I recall, looking some things up and watching the Big Bang Theory.

May 26, 2009

I started the day with one music class at Lakeside. It was simple, they just talked.

I went home for a little over an hour, had lunch and went to Memorial for part 2. Again, the classes did a worksheet but basically just talked (aka made prank phone calls, played PSP, etc) while I read my book. Easy day.

I came home and went to the gym for a while before we were supposed to have practice but it was canceled so Chuck and I went to Quizzo. It was just the two of us and we only got one point in the sports round, but we managed to win first place! This is the smartest bitch in the bar.

The grand prize was bestowed upon us for our Quizzo Awesomeness.

Good night showing up the bar bitch, the DJ was actually really funny and the bar service was good too! Something has happened in the past few weeks that we haven't been there! It's all different!

May 25, 2009

It was a little cooler this morning so I went out with Ryan and played a full game. We each had some good shots but overall it wasn't great. After the game, I came home and tried to get some stuff done for the band and my website.

Later, I went to Katie's with Chuck and Josie and we had a laptop party and smoothies. We got another fire started and hung out in the nice summer night weather.

We cooked some more veggies. I had some corn and eggplant. Good stuff. After listening to music around the fire for a while and some frozen bananas, we put the fire out.

Another fire night left me smelling smoky. See you next time.

May 24, 2009

Ryan and I started playing a game of disc golf but after we got really hot we decided it was a good day to suit up and take a dive.

We swam around the lake for a while and found a total of seven discs. One of them was one of mine that was lost quite a while ago. The water wasn't that gross everywhere either.

I met Diebra for food at Moe's later. Pollock kept trying to steal my drink and knock my sour cream off the table. I had an Instant Friend. Good stuff. I can never finish the food there.

I went to Crystal's house at night to watch movies. We watched Role Models and Lakeview Terrace. The former was hilarious, the latter was what I expected of it, not too bad. We had some beer and Crystal made a milkshake with some kind of liquor in it that was delicious. I want to rock and roll all night and part of every day.

May 23, 2009

I went to Parvin's for a run in the morning. It was pretty hot but the trees provided me some cool shade.

I went to the gym for a bit after running. I need to set up my stuff in the garage so I can stop going.

A little later, I went to Sam's for her barbecue. We had some beers and Sam made her awesome veggie grilled sandwiches.

Katie brought some blueberry oatmeal dessert things. They had some really awesome desserts as well like fruit pizza. Mmm..

Jeff and I took on the old pros at a game of horseshoes.

We lost but it was still a pretty close game.

We mostly just hung out in the shade at the table talking and drinking beer.

When it got dark we started the fire and sat around that doing the same thing for another hour or two.

Another fun bbq at Sam's. I've been to a lot of fires lately.
