Jul 7, 2008

I started my day off working, setting up chairs for the classes we had and more basement cleaning. I really couldn't wait to leave.

Once Ryan and Jeff came over and finished packing the car, picking up Chuck, getting gas and driving up to Citizens Bank Park it was just in time for the game to start. We took Chuck for his birthday for the game and camping/disc golf in Lancaster.

Pretty much as soon as we got in, Ryan and I saw Dawn, an old friend from high school. Actually she saw us and it was really confusing for a few seconds until I figured out who was tapping me on the back and then who she was. The Phillies' fan photographer took our picture for the website and then told me about job opportunities. He should know, he's "the number one photographer in the city.. number two in the country.."

I had to go upstairs and get a shot of this of course.

We got standing room tickets and this was basically our view. It was honestly pretty good. I could see everything going on for the most part.

I got a few shots of the Phillies, but there weren't many hits, so not much to see.

The Mets had an early lead of 10-1 and it didn't look good.

In the fifth inning, a guy came up to me and Ryan and offered us first row tickets because he was leaving!

We were right on the field, the seats were great. We traded off with Jeff and Chuck after the seventh inning so they could be down there for the same amount of time.

It was hard going back up to the standing area after having a great view, but the rest of the game was awesome. The Phils came back to score 8 runs, just shy of tying it up in the last inning.

Of course, the Phanatic was trying to get the crowd pumped and into it.

Even though they lost, we all had a good time, especially Jeff. He had to call and tell people about the great seats he had, "closest he's ever been."

We headed to Lancaster from the game, but hit horrible traffic on 76 West as always. It was really annoying and set us behind pretty far. We did sing TV show themes and talk to people in the cars next to us though.

We got to our camp site right next to Dutch Wonderland and started setting up. We weren't that quiet, it was hard to be. The people next to us were so close they had to have been awake wishing we would shut up.

Once our tents were up and my cot was assembled, we zipped up our doors and went to bed.
