Aug 25, 2010

I finished packing up my stuff and the car in the morning and went to Ryan's so he could pack the car with his stuff and then we took off heading north.

It started raining not long after we got started and stayed that way for most of the drive. We didn't make any stops except for gas or rest stops.

The rain wasn't letting up as we were getting closer but the drive somehow didn't seem that long. I guess it was partly the anticipation of getting there.

After a short traffic stop because my taillight was out (the wire is loose and I fixed it while the cop was there,) we got to Acadia National Park and began searching for our campground.

We found the campsite and grabbed the last one available. We were lucky because a couple from Virginia in front of us was trying to figure out how late check-in worked and we managed to get in there and take the site first. The rain calmed down while we set up the tent so we stayed dry.

We set up our beds and got in to sleep after a long day of driving.
