Jan 1, 2010

We decided to go for disc golf even if it was snowing today so we headed out pretty close to on time for Campgaw. It was about 45 minutes away at a ski resort. The skiing part of the mountain was pretty small from what I could see and the course played around the one hill. In the summer the course is modified to use the ski hill.

The temperature was great. It was snowy but really comfortable to play without gloves or a lot of clothing. The course was laid out nicely. The uphill shots were harder obviously because of the snow.

Clearly, the course is tightly placed but still a lot of fun. The holes didn't seem repetitive at all. They were all pretty unique and fun. The downhill hole had potential to be really good but I hit a tree or two.

Once we finished that course, we headed up to the course in Warwick, NY. This course was awesome. It had two baskets on each hole and two tees as well so you can combine to make it easier or harder. There were a lot of different types of shots on this course as well; up hills, around corners, blind shots..

It was also quite picturesque in many places. The snow looked nice and the tees were all cleared off for us as well. I think we did pretty well on this course overall.

Some of the later holes played really long but we both did awesome on hole 17, a long open hole. I got a great long putt through some trees from the field. I would definitely come back to this one.

We came home and had something to eat after not finding a Moe's that was open. We did more trip planning and watched Mythbusters for a while. The day was eventful enough, the night can be slow.
