Sep 5, 2008

We were heading back up to Philly again and stopped at Plato's Closet on the way, where you can sell them your used clothes. It's an upscale thrift store, basically. They only bought one thing from me and they gave me $1.30. Awesome.

We went back to see the performers on South Street because they were only there for two more days. We ordered the cheap thing on the menu called "Just Love." The two guys admired Katie for a minute or so before they stamped her arm.

And that's "Just Love."

We got another one where we were taped against the wall during the performance.

It was the "Reverse Big Bang." They taped balls of planets all around the room in lines.

Then they bunched all the tape back up into one solid ball.

They put it in a box and put their sticker on it and presented Katie with the universe.

We went next door to get falafel and take a break from sitting on the floor for a short time.

There was a decent sized crowd and we had been wondering what the seemingly overpriced $20 performance could be, so we got everyone to contribute a little bit and paid for "You Don't Lose Any Cent." After a mysterious walk to the back of the room holding Katie's hands, she came back with two rolls of quarters that equaled twenty dollars.

We put half of the money back to get "Ten Dollars Really Disappear, Really." One of the guys got out ten one dollar bills and walked over to where we were sitting as a hand popped out of a hole in the side of the wall. He handed the dollars to him one by one and then the hand slowly retracted. Ten dollars really disappear.

All of their acts were great. They are headed off to London after they leave here. It was a really unique thing to be able to see.

Another unique part of the Philly Live Arts is Human Sculptures.

This group of people run around the city putting themselves in strange position and holding there for a while as groups of onlookers give them strange looks.

We went by Samosa and got a smoothie. I want to go back and get food there soon.

We came back after a long day and watched 21. Pretty good movie.
