Nov 16, 2008

We made banango smoothies for breakfast before picking up Alex and heading to Philly for museums.

We went to the ICA first and saw some interesting galleries. We need to see a few different exhibits for all of our classes. There was an Urban Outfitters next door so we stopped in before moving on.

We went to the Rodin Museum on the parkway to get some shots of sculptures to draw for Figure. We got falafels after that, of course and then went to the Deptford Mall before going home.

I planned to watched Dexter but my grandmom's Showtime got turned off so I started watching It's Always Sunny until I started falling asleep then I came home.

So I decided to do something different this morning and go play some disc golf. Okay so that's what I do every day that I have off, you got me.

There was really nothing going on besides homework I should have been doing and my grandmom getting Longhorn takeout for us.

Katie and I went to the Bayside show at the Troc. They were great of course.

They even played a couple of acoustic tunes for us.

We just headed home after the show. It was a long night but ended up being pretty good.

Another day without a job left me playing disc golf by myself.

After an uneventful day, we had our first band practice in a long time. Jeff wasn't there, but we actually jammed for a few hours. We worked on some new songs and just played a bunch of covers.

After that, Chuck and I met Katie, Jordan, and Sergi to go to Philly for FalaFest.

Really we just went to Maoz and got falafels but they deserve a festival because they're so amazingly good.

We didn't really have anything to do so after walking down South Street, standing on corners and getting educated by a bum we went to the Art Museum and hung out there for a while.

When it was time we went to get pretzels.

We hung out at the old spot on 8th Street and ate our food while amusing each other.

It seems like it's been a while since I've been out with a group for a night. Good times. Boody.

I had class all day of course. I had to spray paint my sculpture to cover up the parts that were turning color. It was a long day.

I went to the Oarhouse for a beer after school. After two, I went home to watch The Office with Katie. I could use a few more.

Nov 12, 2008

I wasn't able to get a job today so I met Katie for a game of disc golf. We didn't play a full game. We went and got fruits and veggies to make a salad while she checked out my pictures from the trip.

Chuck picked me up after a while to head to Philly. We got Cosi and talked about the script and future episodes before we headed over to the First Unitarian Church to see Jonah Matranga. The show was in a really cool seated chapel. It was acoustic with no microphones. It was a really great way to see him perform.

When I got back I watched the Daily Show and Colbert Report before getting to bed.

I couldn't make myself get out of bed in the morning, so I slept in and skipped a few classes. I worked on/finished up my 3D appendage project and then left for school.

Andrew's second head was amazingly detailed and just really cool.

My book holder worked just fine, though it wasn't as good looking as some of the projects.

After school, Johanna and I went to Ocean City, got food and went to the beach for a while before it was just too cold to stand.

We headed back home and watched Live Free or Die Hard. Good movie again.

I woke up early enough to go out and watch the sunrise over Sunset Blvd.

I took a walk around to see the crazy amount of the things that Nate lives close to now like the Hollywood Blvd. Walk of Stars.

I saw the famous Hollywood sign from a distance.

I went and had a delicious California breakfast at Jamba Juice. I so wish we had one of these near us. It's my version of Starbucks. I know I pay six bucks for a smoothie but it's okay to me!

Once I did the last bit of packing, Nate drove me to the airport. After paying a ridiculous amount to check my bag, I waited to board my first plane to Denver. The seats were surprisingly comfortable in the plane.

My layover in Denver was pretty short and then I was on a plane to Philly. I talked to the woman next to me almost the whole flight, making it go by very fast. I got to watch the sunset over the clouds too.

Before I knew it, I could see Philly out the window.

Johanna picked me up at the airport and we went back to Vineland to get Denny's. The burrito I had was awesome.

So I'm back in Millville. It's been one week through thirteen states, four state capitols, two National Parks and quite a few elevation changes. I'm sad to be back but ready to get into my own bed.
