I went to Lakeside today and was greeted by the police that were there searching for the bomb that was called in this morning. We had to stand outside in the cold for a while and then they let us come in because I guess it was a hoax. Really, who calls in bomb threats these days? Just because Blink 182 got back together doesn't mean everything is coming back.

On top of that, the teacher that I was in for.. was in. She called out for the wrong day so I should have been working for her yesterday, but since I was already there I just helped out in the art room. It was a pretty laid back time. I drank hot tea.

I had Art History, then my Aesthetics class was canceled, giving me more time to look up things for my paper. After some research and a trip to the library, I had something. Once math class was done, Katie and I headed to Philly to Doc Watson's bar.

Chuck and Caitlin met us there to see Me Talk Pretty. They played another awesome set. It made me really want to play a show again. It has been over two months since we played a show and almost as long since we practiced. Next week hopefully...

After their set, we headed off to Maoz for falafel. It was good feed and I like this colorful picture of us.

I'm not good at writing when I have to. Only when I want to.

I got a late call to work for a science teacher at Lakeside this morning which I gladly accepted. The teacher left after he fainted from high blood pressure, which I completely understood after dealing with his class for just a few minutes.

After work, I came home for a while and then we went to Mi Lah Vegetarian in Philly for dinner. I had a veggie pot pie that was great, but not as good as Sam's.

Katie got some kind of mushroom thing that was pretty tasty as well. It was a nice place and I'd really like to try almost everything on the menu.

I had to take a timeout after dinner to get some pictures of the awesome lights along Broad Street. They have been doing this for a while but tonight it seemed especially great.

After braving the cold for a few pictures, I took the highway down to Delaware to Mojo 13.

It was a pretty interesting theme bar with cheap Schlitz.

Our friend Julia from Me Talk Pretty showed up and hung out with us for a while before she had to go set up for their set.

They played a great show. They are an awesome band, if you haven't heard of them, you must check them out now. I hope we get the chance to play with them again.

It's late, I'm home now. I'm gonna fall asleep watching something and hopefully wake up to a warmer day tomorrow.

I was an art teacher at Memorial this morning. It was a pretty easy day. Just what I needed, more art.

I felt like playing a round, so I went to the course and played twelve holes before my grandmom called me to get food. This is the new, elevated hole 7.

My grandmom and I went to Serafina's for dinner. I got eggplant parm and it was delicious. So good.

I went to Jeff's for some band practice before we headed to Bridgeton for our show. I got a bottle of wine to drink before we played.

It was really cold outside but me, Chuck, and Katie finished off the bottle pretty quickly and then went inside to see Me Talk Pretty. They were really good. They're from New York and all the members are awesome. We played after them with a time limit because the show was running late, so we rushed through an abridged set but it was fun and I think we did pretty well. I'll have pictures of us and Me Talk Pretty up soon, probably tomorrow.

We hung around talking after the show for quite a while. We headed home after that. I got home pretty late and was ready to get in bed.
