I hadn't plan on joining everyone at the water park, but they insisted I join them so I obliged. We hung out in the cabana things for a while sitting in the shade and watching people go by in the lazy river. After a while, without saying anything, I convinced Alex to go on a slide.

After two rides that Alex described as "terrifying" we got in the lazy river for a few laps. We made a game out of it by rushing through the big groups of people until we got to the open spots where we could just float. It made it a little more fun. That's hard in three feet of water.

We walked around and stopped by the kids' area, which Alex enjoyed more than anything else. This was my favorite picture. We went back to the cabana and got some food and lemonade and hung out a while longer before I went back to get my car and headed home.

I went to Philly later with Christy for her birthday since I missed it. We went to the Abbaye and played darts while we waited for the food. I got a vegan meatball sandwich with cheese. The cheese was a bad idea.. but the rest was great.

We went over to North Bowl after eating and went to the upstairs bar. Christy got a Lebowski White Russian (or something like that) which is just a White Russian with chocolate vodka. It was great. I want one now. I had a couple beers and tried a whiskey and ginger beer. I liked.

We sat waiting for a pool table for a while, staring down the people playing and rushing to the table before someone else could get it. We played a few good games (though I'm not very good at pool) before our buzzer went off to bowl.

My bowling is so inconsistent. I usually get a strike or two, but the next frame I don't even get a spare. I guess that makes me mediocre. It was still fun. We only played one game, but we made it last a little while. Next time I go there I'm not eating first so I can get tots.

After our game, we got our shoes back and left for home. Northern Liberties is always a good time.

When we were both up and ready, Ryan and I went to Wildwood to Morey's Pier water park. It was a very hot and humid day so we couldn't wait to get in the water.

There were very few lines so it didn't take long before we were sitting on a water slide and heading for the big pool at the bottom. They always look as if they're longer than they really are...

We did pretty much all of the slides in a short period of time. This one surprised me because I skimmed halfway across the pool when I got to the bottom.

We went to both piers, which are a little farther from one another than they should be. We realized that with age comes more fear of rides like these when you notice how close to the edge you are sometimes.

The rope swing and the big drop slide are some of my favorites here. I really just like this photo.

Unable to do anything simply relaxing, we had a few challenges that were all similar. We went across these ropes two different ways and did a few more similar water crossings on the cargo nets.

We did eventually get down to relaxation though. We took a couple of laps around the lazy river in style. The lifeguards are really just there to make you feel better, they don't actually do anything. When they do, they aren't happy about it.

When I got home I threw a frisbee around with Jimmy for a little while and then we decided to go play a game of disc golf. We played what we could of the front holes. While the course has dried up a lot, some of it is still covered in water and other parts have become overgrown and neglected.

I was craving pizza so I ordered one and went to Erika's to eat it and watch some television. We played a game of Clue, which I lost with overconfidence, and then watched some survival shows on Discovery on demand.

When he gets back, he's gonna be one happy hippie.

Katie and I went to the water park in Wildwood for free with her mom's work. I didn't want to ride that ride anyway.

Water slides without drops at the end aren't as fun.

Cuz you can't do this.

This is the kind of place where Katie is allowed to drive. Look out.

We took the sky ride to relax a little bit but it was getting chilly so it was just a little annoying.

I didn't want to get on that so I just took a picture.

Don't ride this if you're in a wheelchair.. i guess.

And after losing at the crane game we left and came home. I worked on the cleaning and then later went to finish up the pilot script with Chuck. It's a good finished product I think. It's funny and I like the characters as we did a read-through. Let's start filming.
