I covered meetings for Child Study Teams at Silver Run during the day. The young kids drive me crazy sometimes. After work I went to the gym with Ryan to continue our workouts.

Chuck and I went up to Barnes and Noble to pick up our tuxes. We tried them on and everything seemed to be fine once I figured out how to loosen the pants. We went to Barnes and Noble for a bit after that and then came home.

Kate and I went out to East Point to check out the meteor shower with some warm beverages. We stood outside for a minute but retreated to the car after feeling the blustering wind. We saw one nice big meteor and that was all for the whole night.

We spent an hour or so talking, looking for meteors that would never come. It was a nice night despite the lack of celestial activity.

I met Brian early in the day at the course for a game of disc golf. It was his first time playing and he did pretty well. We played most of the holes that we could and only lost two discs in the process! One of them I can get easily once I go back with sandals on. It's in the water. It was an enjoyable game anyway.

We went for a game of tennis next which was a lot of fun. We each have areas in which we excel and those in which we need some improvement and I felt evenly matched which made it fun. We played for a while until it started to rain and then we called it a day for sports.

Once I went home and got showered Jamie picked me up to go to Kawa. I was starving by this point and I didn't think sushi would do so I got a big pot vegetable curry. I love curry. It was great like usual and I got leftovers. I also love leftovers.. especially when it's curry.

I went out a bit later to take some night shots while hoping the clouds would clear up a bit so I could watch the meteor shower.

I started at the Mauricetown Bridge getting some photos of the lights that curve along it and the somewhat creepy light on the road. I like the quality I get from long exposures with this kind of lighting. I took some shots in other places around the area before meeting up with Lauren and her friend, Ralph at Wawa.

They hopped in my car and we went toward the lighthouse to shoot and try to see meteors. The roads near the lighthouse were flooded so I decided to try another area. The road to the nature preserve was also flooded but I liked the way it looked so we stopped at the edge to take some shots of it. They came out pretty cool but I need a remote so I can take longer exposures. As we stood there, the water receded and we were able to drive through.

As I was taking photos I saw one really awesome meteor streak across the sky before the clouds came back. I was happy with that. We went to the overlook at the nature preserve and took some shots there and hung out talking for a while.

I wasn't really getting any great shots there since the stars were covered up so I stopped shooting after a few.

The night was good and shots were alright. I need to get some new equipment for real and maybe I will see an improvement in my photos.

Once I got up I decided to go to the gym. I met Ryan there and we set up another circuit that involved a lot of jumping but we added more ab exercises with the medicine ball as well. I don't know if this one seemed less exhausting because we didn't use the jump rope or what but I think I liked it a bit more.

After I took care of a few things, I went to Joanna's to finish working on our photo books. I put mine together while she worked on some of her prints. We needed more faces for our book so I went around the dorm looking for some and I found a few that I like a lot. Do you see it?

In the midst of working on things, I saw a message that mentioned the meteor shower we completely forgot about. We made a quick decision and went down to the lighthouse again to watch. The geminids appeared a lot more frequently than the leonids that we saw last month. They were all over the place. We laid on the beach probably for a couple of hours. It was nowhere near as cold as last time but it was still chilly. Good thing I had recently cleaned out my other car and gotten the blankets. I took a few pictures and we eventually got around to leaving.

We went to the nature sanctuary a few miles away and watched some more. I took some shots there for my book that came out really awesome. The sky came out a lot more orange than it really was.

Every time we were about to leave we saw another really awesome streak that held our attention. We stayed until we could see the glow from the sun getting ready to rise. After seeing a bunch of satellites slowly creeping across the sky and watching the moon rise over the horizon in a very thin crescent, we left.

We finished working on our books, putting some last minute photos into mine and making the final adjustments to all of them so they would be ready to present.

It was after ten when we finally got everything done and decided to take a nap before we had to go to class.

This is going to be really annoying to me, but for the next few entries there will be generic images or no images a lot of the time because my laptop hard drive with all of my photos on it is messed up right now. I'm hoping that I can retrieve them and fix this soon. Anyway, I picked up Joanna early and we went to Honey's Sit N Eat in Philly for breakfast. I had the tofu scramble and she got the Nutella french toast. Both were very good and filling.

We managed to stay right on time for everything all morning somehow. We went over to Sedgley to play the rest of the holes that we missed last week. We had some fun on the back nine and then we started on the earlier holes again. No second ace for me today but we still both had some nice shots.

We had to get back to Westby so Joanna could do a photo shoot and do her office hours, but after that we headed back out to take some photos. We went to some of the areas around Rowan to look for faces. We found some good ones in this little town area. I tried to make one out of the railroad sign, I think it kinda works. There are better ones not pictured.

After we had found quite a few faces and gone to the bank, we started looking for a nature trail that Joanna knew about in Pitman. We eventually came upon it and took the trail. It was a very wooded trail with a lot of paths that branched off in all directions. We were looking for a specific place with a bridge but couldn't find it. The walk was nice though. We were there until it got dark and we found our way out just as we couldn't see anymore. We went back to school and got food at the student center before my Logic class.

After Logic, I went for a walk with Ryan in Vineland and then went back up to get Joanna to go to East Point Lighthouse to watch the meteor shower. We got some shots of stars but we were missing the show so we stopped and just laid there to watch. We saw some pretty awesome ones but missed the beginning of the huge, bright one. It was so cold out there even with blankets but it was a lot of fun.
