Laura and I were looking for an adventure and/or a place to explore that was abandoned. We found a little of both at Winslow Junction, where old railroad cars are left on the tracks next to rails that are in service. We spoke with the people working at the yard and they told us we could go check them out. We walked up along the trains and I got some nice shots of the exteriors.
Laura wanted to venture a bit closer and got up on the one locomotive. Then we got inside the dining car. The bar area was really interesting and fun to shoot. When we got out we were soon chased away from that area by the boss, who told us we couldn't be anywhere near the trains. We quickly left the property. At least we got some nice photos and an adventure.
We decided to meet up later so I took a break for a while. I went to Subway and killed some time in between then and meeting back up with Laura and folks at Landmark.
It was Mexican Monday so the ladies got margaritas and Chuck and I got things off of the severely reduced bottle menu. Lagunitas IPA is very good. And they were out of most of the seasonal Pumpkin ales unfortunately.
We played musical Bingo for a while, even though it's not fun when the DJ tells you what the song is after it's over. What's the point of the game if he gives you the answer? I don't get it. We had a good time with Kristin, Laura and Collette..?
We didn't stay too late. We all were ready to leave at about the same time so we finished our drinks and headed out.
