I had a job at Lakeside for the day and then Kate and I went out for dinner to Saigon. I got the vermicelli, which is always delicious. I think I like the jasmine tea iced more than hot though. It was a good meal.

We went and got the table ready for everyone to come over for poker and we had a big crowd. We had some beers and played for quite a while. Dealing was a fun challenge at such a big table, but it was a fun game. It's usually hard to get that many people out all at once. After most of us were out the few people left in the game divided up the cash and we called it a night.

I worked at Memorial in an art class. This class is always good and they have work to do so I get to spend my time reading.

Kate and I joined Dave and Chelsea at Sidelines for poker. I was out pretty quickly, but Kate advanced to the final table and was doing really well before being eliminated. Dave ended up winning the whole thing.

We went to Applebee's for trivia after that and had some food and a good game. It came down to a sudden death question at the end about how many cities there were in the U.S. called Springfield. Chuck was our representative and he went with 30, which was close to the actual number of like 41. The other guy guessed 2. We win!

Getting beardly.

I started the day covering study team meetings at Lakeside. It was a pretty good day running around and I got out early. I went for a run at the lake after work and later met Kate at Sidelines for their free poker game. I had fun playing, but I didn't make it past the first table. Kate was killing it and got pretty far before getting eliminated.

We met the gang at Quizzo after she finished and had some wings. We won the quiz again as well.

I went to meet Ryan for a night run around Vineland. We did two miles and then walked and talked for a while.

The rain had stopped by late morning and it looked like a beautiful day outside. You would never know we apparently came close to some kind of disaster. Alex and I went down to East Point, where I thought the roads would be flooded, to try to see any kind of damage. We saw nothing and the roads were fine. The waves were pretty big and the wind was fierce, but otherwise it was business as usual.

Back in Millville there was some flooding at the high school parking lot and across Wade Boulevard. This was the only real flooding I saw at all. I heard that a few people had some problems, but they seemed to be isolated incidents.

We came back and played the sports medley game for XBox. The bowling was fun once the sensor thing stated working correctly. The hurdles was cool too. I am undecided on how I feel about Kinnect. It's fun at times but I still like Wii better from what I've played.

My sister invited me over to play poker with her and some friends later on so I went out to a barn on Carmel Road and we bought in for more than I hoped to be spending. There were also about ten or twelve people playing and it seemed like they played often. I lost on the first hand and ended up buying in again after a while, playing up and down a bit and eventually losing again. Gotta get some money before I do that again. Or get better at poker.

I came home after my loss and doctored my toe that I smashed on something in the dark on my way to my car as I left the barn. It was really nice out, but my toe suggested I not go out for a walk or anything.

I had to finish doing some developing and deciding which photos to use for my prints in Photography class, then I had to find an article to take with me to Contemporary Moral Problems for our last official class together. It was a pretty informal discussion on our final paper topics.

A bunch of us played poker later at Dave's. I hadn't played in a really long time nor was I really in the mood for a big group of people and loudness, so I played for a couple of hours and then left with a little extra money.

It just felt good to come home and relax a little bit.
