Ryan and I went to the gym in the morning and did a few circuits then Kate and I went to Parvin for a walk in the snow. It was really beautiful to see everything covered in snow and ice.

We were definitely not the first ones to have the idea to walk around the lake, but Kate noticed frozen leaves and I got some awesome pictures of the ice mold hanging on the branch without a leaf under it.

Chuck joined us later and we went up to the Keswick Theater to see Demetri Martin. We couldn't take photos, but he was very funny, as we expected. He seemed a little out of character at times, but overall the show was really good and we were laughing a lot.

We went across the street to GG Brewer's after the show for something to eat and tried a few of the beers. They all had great names and the red ale and stout were both quite good. I really liked the little bar. It was small yet not cramped.

When we finished we took the long, snowy drive home. It was a good day!

After I went to Rowan to try to get tickets at a box office that seems to be perpetually closed, I went to Parvins for a run. It was a nice enough day out and I stuck around for a bit after my run to take some photos that might end up working for my project.

After I got a shower, I picked up Crystal and we went to see The Informant! It was a good movie for the type of movie it was. Very dry and awkward, but I like that kind of flick.

I didn't do much after the movie until Chuck and Diebra picked me up and we went to Rowan to stand in line to get them Demetri Martin tickets. We got the tickets, went to Nick's for some food and then waited a short time in the rain before being let in to the Rec Center for the show. Demetri came out to a lot of applause talking about being from New Jersey and joking with people who came in late and/or turned out to be security.

After some of his usual type of jokes, he moved on to the Large Pad and then to the piano where he played a song listing ways to propose to your girlfriend. "Break your girlfriend's finger and get the doctor to hide the ring in cast... then when she gets it off be like 'we've been engaged for three week--surprise, bitch!'"

He ended the night with guitar and jokes. He did a few requests at the end... ladies. He was great, as always. I'm glad Rowan was able to get him to come to our school.

I came home after the show and read a few things about the hike I'm taking tomorrow and it's early bedtime.

I slept in pretty late today and didn't do a whole lot before it was time to pick up Chuck and Katie to head to New York. We found free parking in Jersey City and took the escalator to the PATH train.

Once we got to the city, we found the subway and headed uptown. We were running quite late and we didn't think we'd make it to the show on time.

We showed up at the address we had about twenty minutes late and found a long line of people that said they were there for Demetri Martin.

They were still letting people in and we got our wristbands to confirm we were on the list and then celebrated actually making it!

Inside the studio was pretty sweet. It was big enough for a good amount of people, but still a pretty small area. We sat in the back row and had a great view.

There was a warm-up comic and then, after applause and laughing lessons, Demetri Martin came out. This is the filming of his upcoming show, Important Things with Demetri Martin. It premieres on February 18 on Comedy Central at 10:30pm. The show was awesome. It was just what I hoped it would be, a show themed after his stand-up. He did comedy and then there were little bits and skits that were pre-recorded. It looks like it will be a great show.

Demetri is such a great guy, he hung around to talk to his fans after the show and even let us get a picture with him.

We were hungry after the show so we stopped at Jimmy's Deli on Lexington for a bite to eat. I had a chicken salad sandwich. It was tasty but Katie and I didn't feel well after we ate.

We slowly found our way back to the PATH station after several subway transfers and backtracking once.

We took the train back to the car and then drove home in a light snow. I was the only one awake on most of the drive home but it didn't seem to take too long. Now I'm ready for bed since the sun should be up any minute!
