We got up in the morning and had our hotel breakfast of fruit, toast and yogurt before going down to the beach. It was basically just like Jersey except there seemed to be less waves and more hotels.

I haven't really gotten a tan this year... but I swam in the shallow ocean for a little while. Katie spent time lying on the beach and came in the water to cool off before we left.

I used the shower just off the beach to wash the sand and salt off of me. It made me this happy. I hate the feeling after getting out of the ocean.. I wish we had showers on the Jersey shore.

Next we went to Mount Trashmore. That's the actual name and the description of this place. It's an old landfill that was covered over and turned into a park. It's a nice park but the description online made it sound a lot bigger with trails. Really, it's just a hill with stairs that take you to the top and there isn't even a good view..

There wasn't much else to do so we headed back to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.

We stopped at Fisherman's Pier on the way back to check out the view. A big Navy ship had just gone through that you can see in the distance.

It was cool to see the bridge in both directions. We didn't stay long because it was a just a pier with a bunch of people fishing.

I'm a crab.

Yep.

We drove home quickly. Just fast enough to make it for Round 1 of Quizzo.

We finally managed to beat Keepin' it Classy... the team of teachers that we've been competing with for first place. We all cheered when they announced them in second place. Until next week...

Beach, lots of driving and first place Quizzo finish. Good day.

In the morning we headed back to Northern Liberties to get breakfast at Honey's Sit N Eat. They have some vegan selections on the menu.. thanks for the tip, Sam.

The food was amazing. I didn't know breakfast could taste that good. I got a burrito with eggs and veggies. It was huge. I couldn't finish it. Katie got something similar with tofu instead of eggs that tasted great also. Definitely a place to return to. I wish I lived here.

After getting a few supplies we hit the road. We took 13 South most of the way, stopping only for drinks and bathroom and one not so great peanut butter banana smoothie. We got to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and I finally got to experience it. It was cool, but I'd rather watch the documentary again instead of crossing it again.

After driving pretty much all day we'd finally arrived in Virginia Beach. Okay, it wasn't all day, but it seemed like a long time.

We went to our hotel and unloaded our stuff and relaxed for a little while before heading back out.

We went to Nawab, an Indian restaurant near the beach. The food was great and really spicy. The staff was exceptionally friendly too. They talked to us throughout our whole meal and not in an annoying way. It was a great experience.

We went to Kelly's Pub with the intention of doing some drinking but after one monster 25 oz Blue Moon, we were both ready to call it a day.

It was a rather uneventful day besides all the driving but it really took it out of me..
