We hung up our work to be critiqued in class, and for the most part I got a good review. A few suggestions for how to make them a little better was all that was really said.
I had to stop by CCC to get my transcript sent to the Board of Ed for employment.
Then I went and picked up my camera that I left at Katie's last night.
I came home and slept for a long time to make up for last night. I got up and had some breakfast dinner, then went to Katie's to watch American History X. She had never seen it before!
Katie worked on sketches for her portfolio while distracting me from working on my stuff.
I came home and went to bed for a short time, but never fell asleep.
I went to AC Moore for a few art supplies.
Then I went to Outback to use the rest of my gift card on buffalo chicken strips. I headed over to Maureen's after that and we ate while playing with the dog and watching Mythbusters. We watched the new Lost and last week's episode that was on before it.
I went down to my grandmom's house and met Katie to work on some projects. I was initially unmotivated and took a break early on to watch poker. Katie wasn't feeling well and took off early. I put on Sleepless in Seattle and started working again. I got quite a bit done, for once not the night before something was due. Once that movie was done I watched Catch and Release. I had seen both flicks before, allowing me to work while I watched.
At some point, it started snowing. It was a while before I noticed because my car was covered when I looked outside. I packed up, cleaned off my car and headed home around 6:30.
Later on, I went to Staples to make photocopies for my collage project that's due tomorrow. Some worked better than others.
I went to Katie's and cut out my copies to paste on the page while she painted for her portfolio.
This is the finished product (unless I add some playing cards tomorrow.) I like it better now that I'm looking at it than I did while I was creating it.
I took off to Jimmy's to play poker. I was doing alright and coming back until I was all in with Jeff and he beat me on river with a full house over the nut flush. It was quite an upset, indeed.
The pretzel factory was opening late and it was very cold out. Luckily Katie brought David Bowie's hair to keep her warm.
Warm pretzels in hand, we ate and drove home.
I think this picture shows how tired I feel right now, so I'm signing off.
